There are many words to describe this excellent endless 3D racer. But one word that comes to mind immediately after playing over a dozen rounds is “fast”. In Warp Dash your speed can go infinitely faster as you pick up more triangle warp pieces. The faster you run, the higher score you can pick up. But in an environment where obstacles are plentiful, warp speed could be your undoing…
Along with the super fast speed, Warp Dash sports a futuristic 3D, vector-like graphics. The graphics look very sharp and enhance the game experience. You control your racing ship via accelerometer based tilt control. Unload the triangular warp pieces you pick up at warp jumps and cash in for a hefty amount of game points. Eventually you can unlock new ships for even faster races.
Warp Dash is quite challenging, but it is the challenge that will have you come back for more. The game camera view forces you to see the obstacles within a somewhat short range of view. As your speed ramps up, you better not blink your eyes, or your race could be over within a millisecond. There are also some luck involved in getting high scores. If you happen to race into an environment that has a high density of obstacles, it could be too hard to avoid the inevitable crash.
But regardless of its difficulty, Warp Dash is an exceptionally made game. Its speed, its gameplay, and even the crashes will astound you and have you come back for more.
