When Gameloft released StarFront: Collision for the iPhone, we here at App Chronicles gave it our highest rating. Now, that awesome RTS experience is coming to the iPad in the form of StarFront: Collision HD, a scaled-up version that’s sure to be just as great.
StarFront: Collision HD bears a very close resemblance to Blizzard’s popular StarCraft 2. Featuring three races, including militarized humans, insectoid aliens, and high-tech cyber-beings, StarFront: Collision delivers a deep and deeply satisfying RTS experience to iOS. The game features well-designed controls, responsive units, and high-end graphics that are sure to impress. The HD version is also able to take advantage of the larger screen room to provide a better play experience.
In addition to the game’s 20 single-player levels, StarFront: Collision also boasts a 4-player multiplayer mode, offering five maps that represent each of the single-player campaign areas. And unlike some games, StarFront multiplayer can be done either locally or online. The game also has leaderboards via the Gamelfot Live! service.
StarFront: Collision HD is bound to be one of the best RTS games on the device, so it’s probably worth picking up for any avid iPad gamer. The game can be had in the App Store for $6.99.
