At this point, you might as well cancel plans for that last minute trip to the mall. It’s going to be very crowded in there, and whoever you’re shopping for should be just as happy if you gift them one of these new apps instead of a piece of clothing they’ll want to return later… The App Store is about to go on break for the holidays, but before it does, developers have made sure to get their best offerings out there. This is a huge open-world RPG adventure shown with visuals that just might be unprecedented. And with lots of exciting action elements to boot, our hopes for Ravensword just might be founded!
FINAL FANTASY IV

The first of the FF games to introduce the Active Time Battle System, FINAL FANTASY IV arrives in the App Store for an asking price of $16.99. That’s more than the handful of change we’re used to dropping on most games, but the iOS version is supposed to be a revamped game with new visuals and playability, and long-time fans probably won’t hesitate.

If you liked Anomaly Warzone Earth, you’ll be glad to learn that this is its sequel. Chillingo’s Anomaly Korea is $2.99 and features the same type of alien robots, but in Korea, where you’ll play this twist on tower defense in hopes of fighting back the invasion.

This one might be just another 99-cent offering in the App Store, but it also might be amazing since it’s from the same people who made Cut the Rope… Pudding Monsters uses “stick-‘em-together gameplay,” whatever that is, and it comes with 75 levels at first launch.
