iOS Halloween prank: Remote-controlled bugs from iHelicopters!
If you’re like me, Halloween is only fun if you can figure out a way to get your iPhone involved… Luckily, there are several ways to do that this season, and the latest prank involving an iOS device is remote-controlled bugs that are now available from iHelicopters.net.
These creepy little guys are selling for $39.95 from the same people who brought us such devices as the iW500 Wall Climbing Car and the M-Racer Speed King Stunt Car. For a remote-controlled bug, $40 might sound like a lot, but just wait until you get a look at how they scurry about. There’s no denying that iHelicopters nailed the spine-tingling crawl of a roach or beetle, so there’s really no better iOS prank we can think of for this Halloween… Just buy a bug, download the free i-Robot app, and use your iPhone to control the critter as it freaks out those naïve trick-or-treaters.
As seen in the video below, the bug system works thanks to an IR Transmitter that plugs into your phone. The beetle will crawl for about 20 minutes on one charge, and can be recharged through USB. And since I know you’re desperate for more specs, you’ll be glad to know the bugs measure at 7.5 x 7.7 x 3.0 cm.
The real question is—how long can you get one of these bugs to last before someone stomps it to “death” out of sheer terror?
