If today’s app looks a little familiar to you, it should. We did a full review on it awhile ago, but before you read that, let me tell you a little bit about Gears, a game that’s gone free for the iPhone and iPad.

Gears is physics based 3D ball roller game that takes the genre to levels never previously thought of before. You’re thrown into their distinctly devised worlds that are complete with gorgeous graphics and challenging puzzles to complete. You will be tilting your iPads or iPhones to move your metal ball through elaborate levels filled with rotating gears and other tool parts. But move quickly, as each level requires you to reach the goal within the allotted time. Trust us, it’s not an easy task.

With 27 unique levels of puzzles to work through, gears will give you hours and hours of gameplay that is not only fun to actually play, but also look at. The worlds are wonderfully well thought out and rendered, making Gears a must grab while it’s still free.
