Angry Birds Seasons get a St. Patrick’s Day Update

This is one of those holidays that some people tend to completely skip, while others go all out in celebration . . . This year, Rovio is doing what they can to make sure that not only the Irish amongst us get into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit. They’ve dressed the pigs in those leprechaun hats and they’re bringing 15 brand new, green-clad levels for our enjoyment.

These seasonal updates are becoming more and more routine for the team at Rovio, and you have to wonder which holidays they WON’T recognize in the future (Labor Day? Memorial Day? I bet they could come up with something). And this time around, the St. Patrick’s Day update is bringing a bit of a promotional twist. It doesn’t matter that there are, like, five iPhone users who don’t have the game at this point—you’ll be able to send your friends a greeting card from inside this version of Angry Birds Seasons. Using this card, you can send them a St. Patrick’s Day greeting through Facebook (and further spread the word about the app at the same time).

Other than that, this update is what you’d expect. 15 levels, pots of gold to break, a St. Patrick’s Day surprise (?), and two Golden Eggs . . . Angry Birds Seasons will cost you 99 cents if you don’t have it already. And if you do. Time to update and be the first of your peer group to get three stars on all 15 levels.
