Summer is basically over, so that means we’ve seen the last of the big Hollywood blockbuster film releases. But it’s business as usual in the App Store, where Thursday means new games. We’d like to direct your attention to three games specifically—check them out and see if they’re worth some spare change.

Fans of the diverse simulation genre will be excited to hear that Kairosoft is at it again with another title to add to their collection. In the same vein as their games like Mega Mall Story (Read our Review) and Game Dev Story (Read Review), Grand Prix Story lets you manage the business side of a racing franchise. You’ll be ordering around everyone from the driver to those working on the cars, and you can get all that power for $2.99.

To-Fu 2

To-Fu 2 Universal (Optimized for both iPhone and iPad)

If you need your fix of iPhone-platforming, To-Fu 2 is the sequel of the hour. In this follow up to To-Fu: The Trials of Chi, the developer brings loyalists another 100 hundred levels, a new gameplay mode, and other extras. Returning To-Fu players won’t think twice before throwing 99 cents in this direction. If you haven’t played the original To-Fu before, it is currently free for a limited time to celebrate the release of the sequel.

Castle Clout

Was Angry Birds the first game to introduce that unique brand of physics/slingshot gameplay? The makers of Castle Clout would be quick to inform you that the answer is no. Does that mean you’re going to rush out and buy their 99 cent iPhone app which follows up on the popular Flash version of the game? That’s up to you, but this medieval-themed game certainly appears to be worth a look.
