God Simulation Game God Finger Released in Canadian App Store
Ngmoco has just released the much anticipated Godfinger, in Canada! If you are not Canadian, you can still get the game by creating a Canadian iTunes account. Here is the direction for creating an iTunes account to another country without a credit card. Although there will definitely be a US release sometimes this year. If Ngmoco’s newest Canadian Only We Rule is any indication, that may anywhere take from 1 week to over a month. Why wait to play this free game?
GodFingers, as the name suggests, is a god simulation game. It plays a lot like Lion Head Studio’s immensely popular Black and White, but without the pets. The controls are also a tad similar to Pocket God, another popular iPhone/iPod God simulation game.
In God Fingers, you can use your godly powers to create rain, sunshine, lightning, ponds, and other miracles. Many buildings and objects utilize rain or sunshine for power. Your world will not function without your blessing.
Your believers work for you to create gold. To convince them to do your bidding you must satisfy their initial wishes. Give them warmth, water, or a pond and they will work till they are exhausted. Believers can worship at a totem to increase mana regeneration, an essential element to your godly powers. They can also be put to work in farms or stables. Of course, they also get tired. You can place them near fountains, wells, and taverns to regenerate their health.
The control system is simple. To place a believer, simply drag them to the appropriate build and drop him on top of it. Because your world is round, after picking up a believer, holding the believer near the right or the left of the screen will eventually land him near your intended destination. But for practical gameplay reasons, it is best to place a refreshment buildings such as well or tavern near a worksite. Your believers get tired quickly. It will save you time to drag them to a tavern just next to your barn.
God Fingers, like most Ngmoco’s new games, is free to download. Although it is still unavailable to download in the US or other countries, you can still create a Canadian account if you want to play this great game earlier than most iPhone/iPod gamers in the rest of the world.
